A number of years ago we had glued parquet tile over the hardwood flooring at the front entrance as well as between the kitchen/bathroom/bedroom and had carpeted the rest of the hallway. My husband patiently got the parquet tile off but was sure the area at the front entrance would have to be replaced as the floor was so discoloured and splintered in places. We were sure Murray would tell us that the area could not be repaired. Murray was very calm when he saw the Hardwood floor and said the area along the old stair railing could be repaired and that he was sure the rest would come out just fine after sanding. We were a little skeptical but took his word for it. And he was right! Once Murray's team repaired the area of the old stair railing you would never know it had been damaged.
