Bona's Swedish Formula Hardwood Floor Cleaner, also included with the kit, is a non toxic cleaner designed for hardwood floors. Unlike all purpose cleaners and oil soaps it cleans without dulling your floors finish or leaving any residue.

Recoating for Preventative Maintenance

If you use the Swedish Formula Hardwood Floor Cleaner as recommended, you can recoat without the risk of adhesion problems that would be caused by waxes, oil soaps or other household cleaners. Recoating (abrade existing finish with buffer then apply finish coat) before the finish is completely worn down will reduce the need for a complete refinish, thus saving you money.
